It's Track season

The first JH track meet of the year was last Thursday. Stephen throws discus and shot put with this group of guys. The first two, he's been in school with since Kindergarten. That's a cool thing about small towns. Stephen is the only one in gold and if you know me, you know that drives me IN. SANE! But there were no grays in his size. To which I say, "Order another pair!" But, alas, no one asks me and I don't want to be a helicopter or anything! ;)

I didn't take my camera this time.

And this is as far as they go. So, yep, taking my camera next time to capture the launch!

BTW, he got first place!

~district track meet~

Stephen's district track meet was today and I was finally able to attend one of his meets! BUT, I forgot my good camera - so these are all with my el cheapo cell phone. No iphone for me! LOL

Stephen got 1st place! His throw was 36 feet 6.5 inches! He placed first in every meet this year!

First Track Meet

Stephen signed up for Summer Track to start learning how to throw the shot put and discus. He is not yet old enough to compete in discus, but later in the summer may be able to throw with the 14 and under group for practice.



Yesterday was his first track meet. He threw in the 12 and under shot put competition and placed 3rd. He was so stinkin' excited. We have lots of fun watching him!

Jasper, our nephew, is also competing in Summer Track. Yesterday he participated in the High Jump and 100 M Dash in the 14 and under group. He placed 4 in the 100 meter dash. Jasper will be doing more competitions when a muscle bruise on his thigh heals.
