~the end of PeeWee football~

Today marked a milestone in Stephen's life. He played his last PeeWee football game. Next, it's on to 7th grade and Jr. High football.

This was his 6th year to play football. A constant in our Fall Saturday lives. Next year (YES!!!!) our Saturdays will be...FREE! Don't get me wrong, I love me some football. But, every Saturday from late August to early November, well, it wears me out!

Stephen's team - 5th and 6th grade Collinsville Pirates won the third place game. I'm SO proud of them. I could see them grow with each game. They became more and more determined and the played as a team.
Yeah Pirates!

Give your sweet football guy a big hug from me. Soon he's gonna be too big to hug! I know what you mean, though. Every Saturday is devoted to soccer or b-ball and it takes up soooo much of the weekend!

It is a sad time, isn't it? My grandson's games came to and end a couple of weeks ago and it was such a sad time for me. I love to watch him play and to spend time with my son and his family at an event where we are one force behind a common bond.
