N is for Nude Model

Playing with Jenny at Alphabe-Thursday!

I kinda spilled the beans with the title.

I

was

once

a

nude

model

.
.
.

Oh, close your mouth! I was in college. It was the 90s. I needed the extra cash.

So, here's the deal. It's all a lie. I've never been a nude model. I wouldn't do that to anyone! Besides - Surrealism is not based on a model - it comes out of the crazy mind of the creator.

Ok, this post is an embarrassment. My hubs will hang his head when he reads this. And wonder why he ever married me. But, you see, I couldn't come up with an N post. And today a friend told me that she was once a nude model. And I was shocked. I'm pretty sure my mouth hung open. And she said, "There's lots you don't know about me." So when I sat here to type my N post the word NUDE floated across my brain. And...there ya have it.

Forgive me.

Here I was thinking you were one brave and very cool chick to have been a nude model! Oh well....I have been skinny dipping, does that count.

actually just saying the word "nude" certainly attracts attention but this counts as Alphabe-thursday since talk about a N word

I went to a pretty conservative college and they even had nude models in the art classes. Joni

Even if you were a Nude Model, so what? Love the ending and the story behind it.

Amy. OK, I am reading this totally out of order. I always skim all the titles to be sure nothing R or worse slips into this meme.

When I saw it was your blog I just cracked up.

AND

my first though was wait until I post this link for the Chicks! ha!

Fabulous post!

I love it!

I'm up super early getting Chuck of on a biz trip and you started my morning out with a great big laugh!

That was great. I'm Swedish, where nudity is no big deal, so getting used to the, excuse me, prudishness of some Americans (don't hate me, it's cultural!) was a bit of a shock. It all started when we invited friends over to swim when we first moved to the US and my little brother, who was 2, was naked in the pool. I don't think their mother has recovered. Still cracks me up when I remember her face...

this reminds me of my friend who always uses my most embarrassing moment as hers when backed into a corner. she just thinks mine is more interesting and funnier!
so--i don't judge you (LOL!)

I was a little afraid to see when I clicked your post...but I admire your honesty! We all do crazy things when we are younger...But that's pretty cool, my grandmother always said, "If you've got it, flaunt it"

(k)nowing you Amy, methink you still might be lying - methink you were a nude model in your other life. Might as well make everyone wonder.

My husband was a nude model, and I was an art student... he never posed for my class, though!

I don't think I could ever do that either but hae you ever plaed that game, truth or Lie. You tell 3 things and one of them are a lie, it is a fun game and also a good way to find out about people. I have used it as an ice breaker when I do workshops.

awww fibber......there is nothing wrong with life modeling...not that I would do it...in fact it is practically on the never list that I posted about.......

Ha! Good one. I was thinking that you were pretty brave to do that, then I read the punch line. You are so funny. I had a hard time with N too. I do know a few people who were nude models and it was pretty good money. Being an artist's model is not easy, lots of standing still with no movement. Doing it nude would make it twice as difficult! I was a nude model too... only for my hubby. And I made him delete the photograph almost right away. What was I thinking?!?!
