When I was prego I ate a 6 pack of Mrs. Bairds powdered donuts and a 20 oz Dr. Pepper for breakfast everyday! And I only gained 20 lbs my whole pregnancy. Oh to be 24 again! I also ate copious amounts of chewy sweet tarts, tacos and orange sherbet. I don't think I've had a chewy sweet tart since. There's really no point here - except to say that I had powdered donuts for breakfast this morning. And they were yummy. And I'm thankful for powdered donuts because, dadgummit, sometimes a gal just needs to ingest refined flour and show up to work with powdered sugar stains on her shirt. And, BTW, those donuts come in an 8 pack now. The package grew...kinda like my behind....

I love powdered donuts...but only if I stick a whole one in my mouth...just not the same when you bite it in half.

You, my dear girl...are HILARIOUS! I love them too, and I ate them when I was pregnant also!

My little grandsons can polish off a box of those with juice on the morning after they have spent the night with me. Those little tummies sure can hold a lot! But an hour later they are hungry all over again!

Hi...just visiting from Leah's blog. I'm trying to stop in to all the blogs on her Thanksgiving list...I love the powdered donut story : ) Ah, yes, to have the metabolism I did at 24. I gained only 17 pounds with each pregnancy and my doctor told me to drink a milkshake every night. Sigh. Now if I so much as drive by a restaurant that serves milkshakes I add a pound.

Have a great day!

Hi Amy! I was 24 when I had Vinny. My weakness was ice cream sandwiches. I'd buy those big choc. chip cookies in the bakery & vanilla ice cream. I'd assemble them at home & put them in the freezer. They were huge & fat! I'd eat at least 2/day. I can't remember how much weight I gained, but I got rid of it all eventually. Now don't get me started on the weight gain when I got prego @40!

Have a wonderful day!

This made me laugh! I guess one's metabolism slows down with age . . . ;-)
