Oh, it's cute! And I love it! It desperately needs cleaning. But what to clean it with? I'll have to test some products on the bottom of the box. And if it ends up that I can't clean it without removing the paint and decals, then I will display it in all its delightful dirtiness. I wonder who kept recipes in this box?

Amy! What a special treat you have there!! Love it! My Grandma always collected old tin recipe boxes...I will ask my mom what would be a good way to clean it.
Oh Amy,
I just love it. Is it metal? Hmmm, no ~ you wouldn't want to take off the decals while cleaning it. I think it's a good idea to test the bottom first. Can you take a warm, damp cloth & gently rub it? Not sure how dirty it is by the pic. I know if it's been icky for a number of years, it may take some "scrubbing" & that might be so good for it. Where did you get it? Very cute indeed! I love me some vintage.
It is all kinds of vintage fabulousness!!!!! Where did you get it?!
you are good!
Totally adorable. I agree with Mardell but I would make the rag barely damp. Let us know how that turns out!
