This week was crazy busy. Crazy. Lots to do in the evenings after work that kept me away from the house late, which means I didn't get things done at home that needed to be done. To be honest, I'm not ready to start a new week. Yet, it is almost here, and I will do my best to face it with positivity!
This week was band booster meeting, Meet the Teacher, and Meet the Pirates. Meet the Pirates is an annual event at my son's high school. The community comes out to listen to the Marching Band play and to "meet" the high school fall sport athletes. Guess which one is mine? :)
On Thursday evening I met up with other Varsity Moms to decorate the boys locker room and make goody bags. That was lots of fun. This is Stephen's first year on varsity so this was something new for me.
Stephen is still injured, so he hasn't got to play a game yet. He is missing it! He does get to perform with the marching band...but doesn't actually march. They put him in a folding chair during the performance.
He had an MRI on Saturday. Though his diagnosis was a Sprained MCL, we wanted to rule out the possibility of cartilage damage, which would require surgery. Hoping to hear something early this week.
Also this week, I tried a new breakfast recipe. Ham & Cheese Mini Breakfast Pies - they were a hit in our house! I plan to make up a big batch and freeze for quick weekday breakfasts.

You proud momma! Love it!
I'm glad it's just a sprain and hope he's back on the field -- playing football and the tuba -- soon.
