D is for DUMPED

D is for DUMPED. As in, "All this snow DUMPED on us in 20 minutes." Seriously, we woke up - No Snow. We got ready for school and work - No Snow. We looked out the window, "Hey, it's snowing!" And 20 minutes later - This:

We don't usually get snow, but when we do, I can count on the University closing and giving me a snow day. BUT, not today. They've decided to remain open. I tried to go in, but was sliding on the road. The last time I went to work in heavy snow it took me 4 hours to get back home when they finally decided to close down the University. So, I am home using my precious vacation time. Sigh. Wah.

Ok, I'm over it! And off to cut out some quilt pieces!

Be Blessed!

I would say it's beautiful but we've had snow for a long time so I'm kinda over it already. Enjoy your snow day.

I'm with you. It's too dangerous to brave the elements somedays. Far better to stay in your warm cozy home and . . . pull out the quilt pieces. Hope you have a productive day!

Wow Amy!! I don't blame you for taking a vaca. day. This weather is really crazy all over the globe! When Vinny was in college they never shut down either. They didn't seem to care about students or staff risking life & limb to get there. Glad you're home safe & sound. xoxoxo

I am happy to live in the San Francisco area where snow days are not a necessity! I don't envy you! It's nice to see a first snow fall but having to shovel the stuff doesn't appeal to me.

Beautiful photos1 This has been a crazy winter so far, hasn't it? We got over a foot of snow yesterday but Philly & DC really got slammed.

I think we all ready for Spring to arrive! :-)

I take it you are in the Dallas area? We are cold and rainy, but no snow. For which I am grateful, this Kat does NOT do snow lol. I shocked that the University didn't close - usually here if they breathe the word snow everything closes. Would it be UNT? Kathy
